Just Arrived: “Dungeon Crawl Classics: Lankhmar”
My kickstarted copy of “Dungeon Crawl Classics: Lankhmar” arrived yesterday. While I haven’t run nor played DCC in almost 2 years, the box set still thrills me.
I love Fritz Leiber’s Lankhmar, and look forward to reading a deep dive into Lahnkmar lore.

Keith Baker announces “Project Raptor”
At noon today, Keith Baker announced Project Raptor, a new sourcebook for Eberron.
In coordination with this announcement, Manifest Zone dropped a special episode ).
I have not yet had a listen, but any new content from Eberron’s creator excites me. From what I’ve gathered, I can look forward to Keith Baker further exploring the planes of Eberron. And I’ll get a nice new hardcover for Eberron.

Situation Mining: It Begins in Graywall
Once part of western frontier of the kingdom of Breland, Graywall now lies 50 miles outside the Brelish border, within the monstrous nation of Droaam.
This blog post establishes some framing mandates and questions that could be used to kick off a Droaam campaign.

The How and the Why of Indices of Game Crunch
I posted my Index of Allowed Classes, Races, Cultures, and Backgrounds on Reddit. And someone asked the following:
Am I missing something here? This is just a list of various races and subclasses for use in your game? Maybe something about why you chose these would be good.
Good question, let me go over the why and the how.

Index of Allowed Classes, Races, Cultures, and Backgrounds
A set of three tables detailing the available classes, races/cultures, and backgrounds for my flavor of Eberron.
You could use these tables as an index for other 5E campaigns.

Procedures for the Liberation of Sir Uravulon Calcidius
At the start of each session after leaving the Tower of the Stargazer, have the player with the unluckiest character pick a number between 1 and 16. Then have them roll a 1d16. If they roll their number, something or someone has freed Sir Uravulon Calcidius.

Burning Wheel Lifepaths Inspired by Warhammer Fantasy
Recently, I’ve been reading through the First Edition of Warhammer Fantasy RPG. The character creation is rather spectacular. Encoded in the career descriptions is a vibrant setting, and a clear antecedent to Burning Wheel.

The Campaign Timeline Thusfar
The campaign began in the 172nd year of the common calendar.
Sessions that I ran are not in real world chronological order. They instead reflect my efforts to incorporate players with funnel survivors into the over-arching campaign.
In reviewing the calendar, I’m noticing that there are not enough farmers now in the fields, because people are seeking wealth and riches.
